Our services

Paediatrics

Paediatrics

Our expertise is focussed on children and adolescents who present with rheumatologic problems such as joint pain and/or swelling; lower back pain; limping; muscle pain and weakness; and persistent inflammatory skin rash that does not respond to treatment. We also treat young patients with immunologic problems such as recurrent or persistent infections that are unusually severe and difficult to treat; recurrent abscesses; poor wound healing; and those children usually present with poor growth and failure to thrive.

Rheumatology

Rheumatology

Dr Yunis provides highly specialised care for young patients with rheumatic diseases. She provides comprehensive evaluation with thorough history and examination to diagnose complex conditions that may present with subtle or overlapping symptoms. She takes the time to educate both the patient and their family about the disease, treatment options, and management strategies to empower them to be active participants in the care process.

Immunology

Immunology

Dr Yunis has special interest in paediatric immunology. She provides care to young patients with primary immune deficiencies (PID) who are more prone to infections that are frequent, severe, or difficult to treat. Those children usually have failure to thrive, poor wound healing and some present with recurrent abscesses. For children with this condition, early identification and treatment are crucial to managing the condition and improving their outcomes.
